The 5th Chakra, the throat, says, “Speak your Truth”. The Feminine side is on the left. It is called Gevurah, which means rigor. The Masculine is on the right. It is called Hesed, which means Mercy. This means that the balance between saying horrible things and being too easy on yourself, matters.
What goes up, Must come down
The 4th place, Heart chakra, under and in the middle is called Tiferet, which means Beauty. As the soul proceeds downward the soul’s thoughts and words feed the heart. Opposite-wise, when Heart walks in Beauty, its upward energy balances the thoughts and speech.
This is what the whole thing looks like. It looks complicated, and it is. So I will focus on the cut out above.
Modernians are facing problems of control based on fear. Our bosses claim that the solution to this fear is Safety. We are told that rules and regulations will give us this much needed Safe Space. They say,
“More rules for you. Stay inside. Cover your face.” And we comply because? We were trained in a system that rewarded compliance. Good girls go first. Bad boys get detention. And yes, there were always a few bad girls, but mostly, girls are naturally compliant.
The feminine, left side, is the rule side. That’s the lady side. The femme fatale is the one who will drag a dude into her web. Could it be that our current problem in society is that men are doing the job of Gevurah, leaving the job of Hesed to the ladies? We swapped our roles and responsibilities? If so, what are the results of this swap?
The feminine side bears the burden of the Physical. She really needs some comic relief. But if her dudes are dressed in drag, attempting to be rule makers or sad clowns, then The Spirit of the Law is left to us ladies, and sadly, we are not equipped for that. The feminine is not spontaneous by Nature. She is the solitary, eternally placed, Egg.
That is not to say that wimmin are not funny. I am a funny girl. Or I can be, but it is not my nature. I have some Daddy Spirit in me. Right? After all, we are all made by the combining of those Two. But being mostly Egg, I need visits from those more Spirited fellas to cheer me up as I sit where I am.
The responsibility of the physical requires that I follow The Letter of the Law. Whose law is that? Nature’s law. This is serious business. Nature is bitch who kills us. So we must squeeze every ounce of law from that left side as possible before Nature kills us and we didn’t make a baby yet. Yikes, so much pressure!
Are we lacking in Faith? Or is our Faith misplaced?
The masculine side of the equation is The Spirit of the Law. Because, heck! If his plan doesn’t work out, he will make more swimmers in a minute. Just like that! No problem. Jolly on. The right side of the law is the Spirit of faith, mercy and instantaneous reproduction.
Here is the story of a king who figures out how to make a decision. Two wimmin fight over a child. King is tasked to decide which one shall have the child. He says, “Cut the babe in half and give half to each womun.” The true mother says, “She can have it.” Thus he knows the true mother is that one. He is clever. He didn’t come to this conclusion with Rules of Law. He figured it out, on the spot. The Spirit is Spontaneous.
Judgment is for both sides of the Laws of Nature and Philosophy. The femme Letter of the Law is the cycles of birth and death that will not be compromised. We speak of our God Given Rights, but I cannot help but remember when the evil Goldfinger says to Bond, “Well, Mr. Bond, you have the right to die,” as the laser shoots straight for his balls.
That sentiment is so Gevurah. “That’s it,” she says, “suffer and die, motherfucker.” She is merciless.
Then along comes Jupiter/Jove/Hesed, God of Mercy. He sees the situation and hands over a new technology that subverts lasers and it is purple with a red nose and a bike horn. Funny stuff. And it works. Goldfinger has a chuckle and they all eat cake together. Yeah, I changed that ending.
When harsh judgments are tempered with mercy, we move to the Heart center. When the Heart center is open it supports the judges in the their efforts to balance the Truths of living, of being.
In that moment we learn that our Safe Space is possibly different than what we were taught.
That is all.
