Is Pluto opposite Sun Destructive?
Pluto is the most recently discovered planet. It represents the Nuclear Age.
As such, it can destroy the world as a weapon or power the world as an energy factory. How do we control a vast release of energy? Is that a reasonable goal?
Often times in life we are thrust into situations, through no fault of our own. And then there are the choices we have made. Oh, the choices! Aquarius asks, “Will it be the fault of us all?”
Oppositions represent two sides of a single story. In other words, what is the relationship between your face and the back side of your head?
The Fixed Story
Scorpio/Taurus tells the story of loss and gain by our own means and by the means of others. What will Aquarius/Leo bring to our society? To our personal lives.
Pluto is a hot topic these days, what with the move into Aquarius after 16 years of repressive Capricorn bureaucratic dogma. We are sick and tired of it! But what will Pluto look like at 90˚ from the Scorpionic transit of the 80s? Fixed signs have something in common. What could it be?
The Following was written for a Taurus Sun person with Pluto in Scorpio Opposing. It is a template to understand the keywords and functions of Plutonic energy.
The season is Spring
Taurus sun people are Earth people. You are interested in digesting life. Think of a cow, in a field, digesting her environment, one stomach at a time. Personal resources are key, in that she likes having her own field in a climate where it rains so the grass will grow. In the wild, when the dry season comes, she migrates to a wetter climate. Taurus gets her own needs met by following nature. Taurus makes her own decisions, based on the cycles of earth, which is her reality.
The season is Autumn
Scorpio season requires staying in one place and guarding one’s stash of winter survival stores. It is past harvest, so the hard work has been accomplished and now she views her stash of food, gold and the allies that share in this wealth. She is the Eagle and the Scorpion in ancient tradition. When you see those two as one creature, she morphs into the dragon guarding a stash of gold deep in the earth.
The dragon and the cow are both feminine energies. Feminine, Yin, receives and transforms matter into energy. The digesting of grass makes fuel to motorize the physical body.
But the fuel for our dragon is not so obvious. It is not physical. It is meta-physical. She transforms energy into matter. Where did her pile of gold come from? She made it from the fire in her soul.
The dragon is Yin and Yang. Her dark body is fueled from and internal fire, like a nuclear power plant within. Like the sun, inside a cave, heating the earth from within.
The Opposition - Centrifugal force.
I don’t know why they say that opposites attract. Or maybe this is why - Hold both hands with a partner. You are facing each other, holding both hands. Now spin around as fast as you can. You must hold on tighter as you go faster or the force will throw you away from each other, not attracted at all, but repelled with great force. The merry-go-round is another example. When that thing got to going fast, we had to hang on for dear life or fly off. And the dizzying speed of it made us nauseous.
Opposites Repel Forcefully.
Pluto opposing the Sun represents a life long search for security. Having, owning and losing are the key words. It is psychological, physical and spiritual. The focus of your search will show up in the houses where these planets reside.
The Places:
1/7 Continuum is Identity. Mine and Yours.
2/8 Continuum is Physicality. My stuff/Your stuff
3/9 Continuum is Mental. My ideas/My Knowledge
4/10 Continuum is Inheritance. My Mother/My Accomplishment
5/11 Continuum Is Love. My child/ Society’s children
6/12 Continuum is Surrender. My duty/My gods.
Destruction:
The word “destruction” implies a terrible end, so consider that endings and beginnings are one in the same event. Birth/death. One in the same. Gone from this world, appearing in the next. Magic, or so it appears to us. Like babies thrilled by the game of “peek-a-boo”, we cannot imagine where Mommie went when those hands covered her face.
Pluto in Scorpio is asking your heart of hearts to take ownership of your grassy field by trials of loss and gain. The things that provide security (which continuum is it for you?) will come and go and you will learn what matters. How to make matter, stuff, from the energy of others.
Pluto in Aquarius asks us to explode past stories & Create new stories. This could be messy!
When the God Uranus is in charge we are in for a flashy time! He represents unlimited creativity. He creates monsters and then crushes them back into the ground because he is never satisfied with how those creatures manifested in the real world.
He cannot cope with his inability to make reality. He can only make the plan. He is unable to manipulate his own plans, because he has no body, no hands. He must depend upon his wife, Gaia/Neptune to make things real. He is always angry with her because she makes the plans wrong, according to his imagining.
What he does not realize or understand, is that his non-physical plans will and can never be manifested because making reality precludes imagination. He cannot have his way. He is perpetually frustrated.
He is the wine, cursing the cup. He is unrealistic.
As soon as the Revolution succeeds, the Materialists take over. That is the nature of creation. And when the materialists take over the vision is filtered through their systems. The light dims. The refractory event changes the initial inspiration.
The stone carver destroys the rock to reveal a new image.
